We live at the junction of Harewood Lane and Boroughbridge Road in Romanby. Will the torch pass us?
Thank you
Hi Mavis,
It looks as though, yes, the torch should be passing right by you – it will be heading up Boroughbridge Road in Romanby, before turning right at the roundabout and heading towards Bedale. Harewood Lane is the junction between Northallerton Train Station and the roundabout on Boroughbridge Road, so you should be right there for the Olympic Flame Relay!
BABBLE & SQUEAK Youth Theatre will performing a short piece of theatre in Northallerton Library, after the relay has passed, at 11 and 12 noon.
The young people were inspired by the relay itself, to make a show for the day, and particularly by the library environment itself.
‘Games’ is a theme, the writing and devising are all the work of the young members of ‘Babble & Squeak’. Please come and enjoy a short, 20 mins entertainment in this welcoming environment!

Hi there,
My husband and I are from New Zealand and have recently settled in Northallerton. We are keen to know what is happening locally in the Yorkshire area and were very pleased to discover your site about the Olympic Games routes and timetables. We found your site very informative and very easy to understand (especially for us Kiwi who are still finding our bearings).
We look forward to further updates. Keep up the great work!
Regards
Gaylene and Arthur Harrison
Hi Gaylene,
Thanks for your kind words – we were trying to achieve exactly that: to help people know when and where this historic event will be passing near them in Yorkshire. I hope you’ve already found people are like that here – happy to help
Hope you have a great day.
