We have a blog, here at Silicon Dales, so that we can communicate our thoughts on a variety of technology related and local subjects with people in our area and industry.
Sometimes, people end up discovering our blog searching for words which were not supposed to be grouped together – like today, when somebody found the Silicon Dales blog looking for “Redmire Falls News”.
That person’s Google search ended up on our blog post about the opening of Berry’s Farm Shop, in Swinithwaite, because, in that post, we mentioned Redmire Falls in passing (the Berry’s Farm Shop opening coincided with the opening of a new “nature trail” down to Redmire Falls through the Swinithwaite Estate).
But this brings us to an interesting point, and it is one which will not be lost upon business owners in the Yorkshire Dales: your prospective customers are searching for local landmarks online. Are you doing enough to tell them you are in the area?
At Silicon Dales, we always build websites which give our business clients the opportunity to talk about their business, and their location. We always make sure it is not only possible, but likely, for the people who are looking for the products and services offered by that business, to discover the firm’s website by searching online – organically (free – not paid – search).
If you would like us to build your business a website which allows you to show up online for local landmark searches – like “Aysgarth Falls Bed & Breakfasts”, or even the relatively niche “Redmire Falls News” – then please contact us today to request a no obligation quotation.

Yesterday evening, before enjoying a fine meal at the Wyvill Arms, I read the Lower Wensleydale publication featuring several local luminaries, in which none other than Lord Bolton described Redmire Falls as Wensleydale’s best kept secret. He also mentioned that it is also free. A true Yorkshireman!
I noted today – a remarkably hot afternoon by this summer’s standards – that a number of web visitors had come to this blog looking for “Redmire Falls swimming” and related internet searches.
