Another Festival is coming to our local area, and its another one which, while relatively recent, is on the map of many people across the North of Englad: Leyburn’s “The Dales Festival of Food and Drink”.
As we’re based in Harmby – indeed, the Festival of Food and Drink lies in a field we walk through to get to Leyburn on foot – this is a Festival we know much about, and which marks, for us, the beginning of summer, and the tourist season proper.
Tourism brings a great deal of custom to the local area, and the Festival of Food and Drink is a great excuse for those of you who enjoy holidaying in the Dales to visit Wensleydale earlier than the summer’s high season.
In 2012, the Dales Festival of Food and Drink takes place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday the 5th, 6th and 7th May, from 10am to 5pm. A 3 day ticket is just £12, so there is no excuse not to take advantage of the huge variety of local produce on offer at a good low Yorkshire price!
A one day ticket for adults is £8, and let’s not forget its a registered charity which raises money for worthy causes in our area.
And lastly, if any of those who are exhibiting at the Dales Festival of Food and Drink would like us to build them a website right here in God’s own country, we will give you a 10% discount, just for being an exhibitor!
