Amazon had an outage yesterday, which has received widespread news coverage.
The specific issue was:
“S3 buckets in the US-East-1 region in northern Virginia, US, became inaccessible at about 0945 PST (1745 UTC)
Silicon Dales services are not hosted via S3 and our services are running as usual.
However, clients may use several integrations and third-party apps which rely on S3. So far, the only interruptions we’ve identified that may affect clients are:
- Gravity Forms
- Pantheon Hosting
To be clear, these services are not down altogether. In most cases, the S3 interruption has only affected user’s ability to download or upload files. Most services are now reporting that they’re in the all clear.
We will continue to keep an eye on potential issues relating to the S3 outage.
