Mass Email Communication

Silicon Dales will not aid with email campaigns which utilize bought-in email data or spidered email addresses. We will, however, be able to advise you on the best way to approach email marketing.

Unsolicited commercial email is spam – you must have the permission of the email addressee, or an identifiable provider-client relationship, before you target them with emails.

Unsolicited commercial email is against the terms of service of most reputable email providers as well as being illegal in the UK under the The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 No. 2426 Regulation 22. See https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2003/2426/regulation/22/made.

By sending unsolicited commercial email, you can expect to receive a suspension from your email provider, and even a fine from the Information Commissioner’s Office. More details and an FAQ on commercial email marketing can be found here.
